FGE60-2 is a ductile iron material grade defined in Spain standard UNF. It offers reasonable machinability and excellent surface finish.
This material grade is combined with an increase in tensile strength and high wear resistance than FGE50-7. It is equal to GGG60 in Germany standard DIN 1693.
The followings are the chemical composition and physical properties for GGG60 ductile cast iron, which should be equivalent to FGE60-2.
Chemical composition:
Carbon 3.4-3.85%, Silicon 2.3-3.1%, Manganese 0.1-0.3%, Sulphur 0.02% max, Phosphorus 0.10% max.
The chemical composition has big difference in different standards. All compositions are just for reference. The international standards stipulate that the manufacturers could adjust their chemical composition according to their experience and production conditions, as long as their material could meet the mechanical properties.
