NS11 100 SJG300 is a very high material grade of gray cast iron, which is used in Norway. Its related standard is ISO 185/JL/300, GB 9439 HT300, and ASTM A48 CLASS 40.
It also equals to DIN 1691 GG30, EN 1561 EN-GJL-300, JIS G5501 FC300, UNI 5007 G30, NF A32-101 FGL300, BS 1452 300, UNF FG30, NBN 830-01 FGG30, AS 1830 T300 or SS 14 01 O130.
The Chemical Composition for NS11 100 SJG300 Gray Cast Iron:
The chemical ranges are not specified in the NS11 100 standard, so the iron foundries could adjust the compositions according to their experience as long as they could meet the physical and mechanical requirements.
However, the normal chemical composition for this grade is as the following:
C |
Si |
Mn |
S |
P |
3 - 3.2 |
1.3 – 1.9 |
0.7 - 1 |
max 0.12 |
max 0.2 |
The mechanical properties for NS11 100 SJG300 Gray Cast Iron:
Tensile Strength: 300-400 Mpa
Yield Strength: 195-260 Mpa
Brinell hardness is about 165 - 255 BHN.
Elongation A5 (%) <1
Only the tensile strength is the quality inspection standard. Other mechanical properties are only for reference unless the buyers have particular requirements.
Applications for NS11 100 SJG300 Gray Cast Iron:
SJG300 gray cast iron is normally used for castings for general mechanical engineering (machine casting) including shipbuilding, for machine tools, machines for textile and to electric industry, apparatus engineering, agricultural machinery, household machines, writing and calculating machines, turbine case, compressor. |
