G30 is one grade of gray cast iron defined in Italy standard UNI 5007. This grade of cast iron has excellent wear resistance, strength and heat-treatment response compared to G20 and G25.
At the same time, it still has reasonable machinability and excellent surface finish. This level of noise and vibration damping is excellent.
Application for UNI 5007 G30 gray cast iron:
UNI 5007 G30 gray iron is used to manufacture heavy-duty machine tools, bed bodies, presses, high-pressure hydraulic parts, frames, gears, bushings, piston rings, cams, crankshafts, cylinder blocks, cylinder heads, etc.
Chemical composition for UNI 5007 G30 gray cast iron:
Chemistry ranges are not specified in the UNI 5007 standard. The iron foundries could adjust the chemical components according to their own experience, as long as their material could meet the mechanical properties. So the chemistry listed in the following sheet just for your reference.
