AS 1830 T200 is the most common material of gray cast iron. It is used in Australia, also equal to ISO 185/JL/200 and HT200 in China.
This grade is also equal to CLASS 30 in USA, GG20 in Germany, EN-GJL-200 in European, FC200 in Japan, G20 in Italy, FGL200 in France, 200 in UK, FG20 in Spain, FGG20 in Belgium, O120 in Sweden, SJG200 in Norway, etc.
We summarize the following chemical composition, mechanical properties and physical properties for AS 1830 T200 according to ISO 185/JL/200, for your reference.
The Chemical Composition for AS 1830 T200 Gray Cast Iron:
The normal chemical composition for this grade is as the following:
Carbon (C): 3.2-3.5%, Silicon (Si): 2.0-2.5%, Manganese (Mn): 0.6-0.8%, Phosphorus (P): 0.4% max, Sulfur (S): 0-0.15%
As for normal grey iron, the chemical composition is not important comparatively. The iron foundries could adjust the compositions according to their experience as long as they could meet the physical and mechanical requirements.

b Torsional fatigue strength τtW ≈ 0,42 × Rm.
c Depends on the quantity and form of the graphite, as well as on the loading.
d The following approximately applies: σbW ≈ 0,35 − 0,50 × Rm.
e The following approximately applies: σzdW ≈ 0,53 × σbW ≈ 0,26 × Rm. |
