G15 is a most basic material grade of gray cast iron in Italy standard UNI 5007. It is equal to EN-GJL-150 in European standard EN 1561.

In any standard, the chemical composition to this grade were not mandatory, they allow iron casting manufacturers to adjust the chemical composition according to the production conditions, as long as the manufacturers could meet the mechanical properties.

Typical Applications for UNI 5007 G15 Gray Cast Iron:
