0864-03 is a high grade of ductile cast iron designed in the Sweden standard SS 14 07. This material has the highest strength and lowest ductility compared to the other grades of ductile cast iron.
The followings are its chemical composition, mechanical properties and equivalent grades.
The Chemical Properties of SS 14 07 0864-03 ductile cast iron
In standard SS 14 07, there is no requirement to the chemical composition, so the iron foundry could adjust their chemical composition as their experience, as long as their material could meet the mechanical properties.
The Mechanical Properties of SS 14 07 0864-03 ductile cast iron:
This grade has tensile strength min. 800 Mpa, yield strength min. 480 Mpa, elongation min. 2%, brinell hardness 248 – 351 MPa.
