O115 is a low grade of gray cast iron in Sweden standard SS 14 01, it is also known as cast iron GG15 in standard DIN 1691 by Germany and Austria.

For gray iron casting, there is no any standard mentioned the chemistry composition, so the iron foundry could adjust the chemical composition according to their experience, but the mechanical properties are the necessary requirement.

The Mechanical Properties for SS 14 01 O115 Gray Cast Iron:
Compressive Strength, 500~700 MPa
Tensile Strength, 150~250 Mpa
Safe Range of stress, 60~90 MPa
Modulus of Elasticity, 70~90 GPa
Hardness Range, 150~200 HB

Only the tensile strength is the quality inspection standard. Other mechanical properties are only for reference unless the buyers have particular requirements.

Applications:
This grade iron can be used to produce some unimportant casting parts with low or middle duty or load, such as various stove parts, gas burners, boiler parts, protective cover, hand wheel, brackets, base plate, crane balls, counter weight, handle, machine base, cases, bearing support, workbench, belt pulley, pump body, valve body, pipe fittings, flywheel etc.
