FGL300 is a material grade of gray cast iron defined in France standard NF A32-101. It is also known as grade 300 (ISO 185), GG30 (DIN 1691) and EN-GJL-300 (EN 1561).
The followings are the applications, chemical composition, technological and physical values, mechanical properties, and equivalent grades for NF A32-101 FGL300 gray cast iron.
Applications for NF A32-101 FGL300 Gray Cast Iron:
FGL300 gray cast iron is normally used for castings for general mechanical engineering (machine casting) including shipbuilding, for machine tools, machines for textile and to electric industry, apparatus engineering, agricultural machinery, household machines, writing and calculating machines, turbine case, compressor.
Chemical Composition for NF A32-101 FGL300 Gray Cast Iron:
There is no any requirement about chemistry in the NF A32-101 standard. The iron foundries could adjust the chemical components according to their own experience, as long as their material could meet the mechanical properties.
