In Belgium standard NBN 830-02, FNG50-7 ductile iron is a ferritic type ductile iron with medium strength and toughness and good machinability.
It is equal to our China standard GB 1348 QT500-7 ductile cast iron.

According to the standard NBN 830-02, the cast iron foundries could adjust the chemical composition by themselves as long as the mechanical and physical properties of the castings could meet the requirements in standards.
