JIS G5502 FCD is Japanese International Standard for ductile iron.
FCD 700 is one of widely used ductile irons for automotive component material due to its good machinability along with its superior tensile and yield strengths.
Metal properties of JIS G5502 FCD700 ductile cast iron:
Very fine pearlite ductile iron, or by normalization process, or quenched and tempered Martensite, it has high strength and hardness, but poor ductility and toughness.
Application Examples of JIS G5502 FCD700 ductile cast iron:
Crankshaft, camshaft of diesel engine and gasoline engine, partial grinder, milling machine, spindle of lathe, gear shaft of ball mill, spindle of small water turbine, etc.
