ISO 185 JL 250 is a type of gray cast iron with good combination of strength and wear resistance.
This material grade possesses reasonable machinability and excellent surface finish. Noise and vibration damping are good in this grade.
Chemical Components of ISO 185 JL 250
Gray Iron Casting, no any standard mentioned the chemistry composition, so we only suggest the following chemistry based on actual production.
Carbon (C): 3.15-3.3%
Silicon (Si): 1.6-1.9%
Manganese (Mn): 0.6-0.8%
Phosphorus (P): 0.3% max
Sulfur (S): 0.12% max
The characteristics of ISO 185/JL/250 cast iron depend on the dimensions and shape of the graphite flakes.
