Our Dandong Foundry uses 42CrMo material to produce cast steel plow brackets for agricultural seeding machinery.
42CrMo is an alloy steel with good mechanical properties and machinability. The corresponding grades are ISO 42CrMo4, Japanese grade SCM440, German grade 42CrMo4 or 1.7225, American grade 4140 or G41400.
As the following photo shows, the casting hole of the cast steel plow bracket should be polished cleanly, and there should be no parting line residue, otherwise the further installation will be affected.
The inside hole of the cast steel plow bracket is not allowed to stick extra material. If the extra material can not be removed, the plow bracket has to be scrapped. If the cast steel plow brackets have shrinkage defects, they must be scrapped too.
