1. The common material grades for cast iron monitoring well manhole covers
In the past, some monitoring well manhole covers were made by gray iron (also called as cast iron), some were broken during using, because gray iron is not tough enough. Therefore, the current manhole covers are being made by ductile iron.

2. The normal gaskets and accessories of the monitoring well manhole covers
The normal gaskets and accessories for monitoring well manholes are the rubber seal rings, the small nylon or rubber sea rings for bolts, the stainless bolts, aluminum lable and the galvanized metal skirt.
The qualified seal rings and proper assembly are very important, otherwise, the water will leak into the monitor wells, so will cause rust.

3. The painting requirement of the monitoring manhole covers
The best painting will be epoxy resin paint, white and black, however, you must use good paint, otherwise, the paint will not be dry for a long while, or it will become light yellow, which will not be good enough.
4. How to assemble the monitoring well manholes
Dandong Foundry could complete the assembly works before shipment, we will use the seal gum to fix the rubber rings, then use electrical wrench to tight the bolts.

Producing manholes covers is not a difficulty for most of Chinese iron foundries, however, guaranteed quality will not be an easy work. It will be a disaster if the manhole cover is broken when heavy trucks pass it. So, there will be many works needed to do from the cast iron material quality to the final assembly.
