Nodular Iron

Nodular iron is also called nodular cast iron, ductile iron and spheroidal graphite cast iron.

Nodular iron is handled through the graphite ball and inoculated by spherical graphite. Nodular iron has effectively improved the mechanical properties, in particular, improve the ductility and toughness, which is higher than is the strength of forged steel.

Because of the spherical graphite cast iron microstructure, the decrease vibration capability, nodular iron is better than cast steel and forged steel, therefore more conducive to reducing stress.
