Nodular Iron

Nodular iron is also called nodular cast iron, ductile iron and spheroidal graphite cast iron.

Nodular iron is handled through the graphite ball and inoculated by spherical graphite. Nodular iron has effectively improved the mechanical properties, in particular, improve the ductility and toughness, which is higher than is the strength of forged steel.

The fifties of the 20th century, nodular iron has been effectively developed as a high-strength cast iron material, the overall performance close to forged steel.
