ASTM A48 Gray Iron Castings
Dandong Foundry is producing various
grades of ASTM A48
gray iron castings, some
rough castings, and some machined parts.
ASTM A48 is a material standard of gray cast iron in USA, which is
also a reference standard of Chinese cast iron standards.
Our foundry is producing these materials by automatic molding line,
resin sand casting, manual green sand casting and shell molding
processes.
The advantages of these materials are low prices, good casting
characters, easy production, but their disadvantages are low tensile
strength and elongation. So, they can not be used to produce
castings parts for tough conditions.
These materials are widely used to produce stove and boiler parts,
cookware, counter weights, balance weights, large base part of
machines.
